If Mike Harris had not been so much of a deconstructionist, we would still be able to get into Provincial Parks
for a tiny sum ..
We would not have the traffic court in the hands of the municipalities and likely we would not have red light cameras, and cops who do nothing more than act as Roadway Radar Tax Collectors..
We would not have the Motor Vehicles Department in the hands of Private Contractors...
and a Driver's license that costs $75 for a five year term and is in the process of being raised.
How about a ticket for parking in a wheelchair spot that is $500.. ? Even when you can see guys
who are about 30 driving a Corvette or a Taxi/Limousine with a Wheelchair Sign on the dashboard...
Who got a doctor to sign a lie for them?

Some mall parking lots have a dozen wheelchair spots with rarely more than two or three cars using them legally..
It is as if they were told to put in more spots than needed, just to make more money when the City bylaw enforcement guys visit the lot... or maybe they park about 100 feet away just to pounce on the person
who went to a variety store to buy cigarettes.
I have seen Tim Horton donut lots with 4 wheelchair spaces... Never saw a wheelchair in the store
except once in 20 years. Tell me that is not predatory.

I am waiting to see how long it takes before tickets are handed out for parking in the "Expectant Mothers"
spaces at Ikea or Sears. Why not War veterans Spaces? Don't laugh...
the City of Toronto has had free meter parking for them for a few years if they have the right sign on the window.

We would not have Private Garbage Collection and a two bag limit. garbage sorting stations likely run by
a contractor who hires immigrants to work for minimum wage....
By the way... Minimum wage has gone up to $8.75 because these are adults with families. Many grocery stores have to pay students this much as well... so groceries also have gone up.. for this reason... not just fuel and trucking charges.

As a result of the Dismantling of Ontario Hydro.. we have an electric bill that looks more like a
Telephone Bill with many charges that used to be hidden in the old bill.. delivery charge,
line loss charges, Debt Retirement Charge, KWH charges at two different rates,
Smart meters to track our consumption times and hit us with a higher rate when we do laundry before 7 PM.
Sure... privatization is a good idea, but NOT when every Privateer Owner wants his big piece of the pie and pays the workers far less... It may be good for Walmart... but Sears suffers when City or Provincial employees
no longer shop there after being laid off or retired..

Dalton has fallen for the Renewable Energy farce and has taken at least One Coal fired plant out of service
(Lakeview In Clarkson ) and has plans to do the same with Nanticoke.. He has put in
a few hundred Windmills and pays the operators to NOT Run them....
Sometimes they do run, but only during the peak daytime when the rates are highest.
The Excess power is also sold to the US when rates are highest.. I wonder how many nice parties Dalton goes to as a thank-you for this sweet deal.
By the way... When windmills are in use, the coal fired and Nuclear plants are still running because the
Wind may stop at any time.
