Guess I find having a bad diet kind of funny. When I first moved on my own, I had to figure what to eat. I never cooked, but thought my mom was pretty good, though only had her to go by, and liked most of what she made, even the fully looking things that looked like an ear, that I think were chicken kidneys. I lost some weight which concerned mom, so I got out her med book, and looked up foods that nutrients were in, based on 45' info. I didn't eat something with each every day, but usually once a week, which I thought was OK. Learned some things, like peas contain Vit C. I never would have thought that but ate peas often, but didn't like oranges. Without knowing I felt I ate about everything, without being told. Remember hearing that infants ate a balanced diet on their own, when being offered some of everything over a weeks time.

A drug store next to where we lived had a scale with recommended weights. At home I was always what they said. On my own I was 10% lighter. When I heard that Ins Co's had reduced what people should weigh 10% I laughed. I remember feeling like a machine.
