I feel like I'm losing my mind right now. Please bare with me. As I posted recently, I had really bad food poisoning. I recovered from it although my bowel movements have not been regular yet, (constipation). So...

Yesterday, I had some organic chicken liver for the first time in over three weeks as I figured as I was feeling better and it was time to start going back to my initial diet....slowly of course. I basically sauteed the liver on very high heat in a cast iron pan with some diced garlic. I actually thought that I might have over cooked the liver. Regardless, it was mildly pink on the inside at most. I did find a piece that was somewhat bloody. I threw it back on the stove and cooked it more.

Well, I wake up this morning and I have had for the entire day now....some body aches all over which is essentially the same way my food poisoning began the last time I had food poisoning (three weeks ago). In addition, I have some stomach pains and very slightly loose bowels although not diarrhea.....yet.

I'm beginning to think that I am talking myself into this as I have practically become paranoid that I am going to get sick again. However, what are the chances that a food poisoning infection whether it's salmonella, Campylobacter, or even a virus that can last for over three weeks? Can it be that my body is simply not ready to entertain certain foods even after almost a month? Is it not a reaction to the food?

I should point out that for the entire rest of the day yesterday (when I did not feel any symptoms yet), I kept thinking to myself..."I should have cooked the liver, I should have cooked the liver more" although I did think it was cooked initially.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's advice as always. Sorry to complain in multiple threads pertaining to the same issue essentially.

-Mike
