Great Use for Oxi Laundry Powder

June 19, 2018 09:23PM
I've been using the Oxi laundry powder for removing stuck-on cheese in cooking pots, and blackened frying pans. It works so well, I thought I'd pass along the tip. Just place two tablespoons of the powder in the offending pot and fill with hot water. Let soak for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the pots and pans are super easy to clean. I'm not selling the stuff. Just wanted to share my newfound dish-washing secret.

P.S. I think the oxygen in the powder somehow lifts the cooked-on bits off the pot surface. I discovered this one time after having burned some lentils which left my good quality pot completely black. I almost threw it out but decided to try the oxy powder out of desperation since nothing else was working (and I wanted to save the pot).
