electric cars lose range in cold

loses more if internal heater turned on- in cold you HAVE to use internal heater to keep your windshield clear and to thaw out your fingers.

As to heat, it doesn't lose as much range in 95 degrees as 20 F and loses more, but not as much as with cold when the AC is turned on.

I don't HAVE an electric car and I don't use my AC, because it doesn't work. AC is not necessary, if you can roll your windows down, which I do, but heat is about being able to see out the windshield and use your fingers and toes.

The last two days, my gas powered car barely started, and I'm in the SW-it got to 20F last night, was probably a bit warmer when I started the car this morning, but the battery was sluggish and I wasn't sure it was going to turn over.
