Dr. Stoll,
I had a GI panel recently, and also about 2 years ago, from Diagnos-Techs, which is supposed to be one of the best for the GI panel. Both times, it came back saying "no yeast isolated" (on a scale of 1+ to 5+.... mine is apparently zero.) In the years past, from other labs, it would say 1+ up to 4+.
I'm not on an antifungal, but do take megadoses of vitamin C, and I eat a no-sugar diet (no fruit or refined carbs, or sugar of any kind). What are your thoughts about having no yeast in the GI tract? I thought it was normal and healthy to have some yeast in the GI tract. Is it unhealthy to have none? Or is it a good thing?
