Warning: This is kind of gross, but here goes. I was out of town and away from my normal eating and exercise pattern and got a bit constipated. After barely moving my bowels for 2 days, I took magnesium oxide capsules (1,200 mg) and wobenzyme at bedtime. The next day, after lots of black coffee in the morning, I finally had several, very long bowel movmements about 2 hours apart. First was regular brown color. The second was darker brown, but nothing unusual. However, when I wiped, I noticed dried dark brown dirt like particles on the toilet paper and around my anus. My husband (Mr. Constipation) says this is just dried stool bits. He said blood in stool would be red or black and tarry with a very different smell. He claims he's had what I've described after he's had constipation. Could the dark brown, dried, dirt-like particles be dried blood? I'm freaking out now.
