I thought Omega 3's and fish oils were supposed to be good, but I keep finding info about problems they can cause. I was just curious when wanting to try fish oil along with cod and krill oil, to see how far I could improve tightness in my knees, that since taking cod and krill together got a lot less, and wondered what might be different in the three, to possibly make adding fish oil beneficial. I never had any interest in fish oil, because i felt cod liver oil did what I wanted, relieving one knee pain I had, and the study that I read about, using fish oil, needed a lot more, 20X, and only 30% benefit for people with arthritis, though I don't know that I have that, or what had caused my knee pains. I did pick up salmon oil to try it, and the tightness in my knees, and a slight ache I can cause, putting side pressure on my knees, when my feet are crossed seems a lot better, and can barely feel or cause any.
I don't think I have to worry much about any side effects from any of them, because I already backed off taking them, since I haven't seen any more improvement, though there isn't much more there could be.
In searching about possible problems, especially because a friend said he was going to try fish oil for an intermittent hip pain. He just had a defibrillator put in that seemed to give him some strange sensations after, saying he was dead, but he also said I was, and saw a ghost like image of me, but a lot shorter and heavier than I am. LOL. It was kind of funny, but got annoying that he kept insisting we were dead, and he was probably going into Other Dimensions, and seeing ghosts.
I found info that said that fish oil might not be good for people with a defibrillator so I sent it to him. Since his is the type they destroy the hearts natural pacemaker and he is strictly battery powered now. He said, any risks from taking fish oil wouldn't affect him, because he is alive because of the pacemaker, that is the Only thing making his hear beat, so thinks anything affecting a normal pacemaker/heart wouldn't affect him. I believe he damaged his heart having a heart attack while being on Celebrex, so I guess he may die soon like he says, with the things he believes in and does. He will take Anything a Dr gives him, and said he takes 15 drugs, and I think he feels that is GOOD... If I read there could be a problem taking or doing something with something related to what I have, like a pacemaker though a different type, I would want to know why it could cause a problem, and want to know if I should be using or taking it.
