Hi I am thinking about getting my back most lower molar pulled because it has a silver filling in it that is 10 years old and it is a huge filling. I went to the dentist and asked him to replace it with a white filling and he refused, and told me that it was too big and the only option was to crown the tooth...not right now but later when it needed it. But from what I understand the crown has mercury in it too!!!
So is the best option here to just do away with the tooth, I am sick of having mercury in my body, the only thing is im only 29 so it will suck to live the rest of my life with out that tooth, but it is better than mercury poisoning, right? and perhaps in the future they will be growing new teeth, or so I have heard.
am I absurd? is there a better option? and how do I convince the doc, that this is what I want?
