Can anyone advise on how to get off of a prescription
sleeping med? My MD prescribed Temazepam (2 capsules of
15 mg each= 30 mg), ten years ago, when I was 55. (I
had developed a situation where I'd get up at 2 am to
void and could not get back to sleep...for weeks). The
med worked... tho' I felt it was more than I needed so
he prescribed 4 capsules in the smaller 7.5 size. So I
could take fewer if desired.
I took less; have taken 1-2 of those per night = 15 mg.
They are pricey and now my insurance has cut me back to
less than 1 capsule per night...starting Jan 1. So I
think this is a sign I need to get off of it totally!
Do I need professional help to get off Temazepam
totally? It is my understanding that I should not
suddenly stop it. I intend to involve my MD, but I
want an holistic opinion if anyone has any thoughts,
I'd really appreciate hearing them.
