My latest idea for gas-free beans is sprouting them. I find that if I soak garbanzo beans for 24 hours instead of just overnight, a kind of foam appears on the top which indicates the beans are germinating. I just found the link below which validates my idea.
I haven't tried actually sprouting them, though, I have cooked them after the 24 hour point.
Has anyone tried this with garbanzo or any other beans?
